Insurance Advisory Committee

The Insurance Advisory Committee ("Committee") is established under section 54 of the Insurance Companies Ordinance (Cap. 41) ("ICO"). Its function is to advise the Chief Executive on matters relating to the administration of the ICO and the carrying on of insurance business in Hong Kong.

The Committee consists of the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury representing the Financial Secretary as the Chairman, the Insurance Authority who is an ex officio member and other members appointed by the Chief Executive.
