Further to my letter of 18 August 2004, I am writing to advise you that an updated list of individuals and entities subject to the measures contained in paragraph 1 of United Nations Security Council Resolution ("UNSCR") 1532 against Liberia (Assets Freeze List) has been published. The updated list can be found on the United Nations website (www.un.org/Docs/sc/committees/Liberia3/1532_afl.htm).

While UNSCR 1532 has not yet been implemented in Hong Kong, you are advised to review your records and report any accounts, transactions or dealings you have or have had with the designated individuals or entities under UNSCR 1532 to the Joint Financial Intelligence Unit, with a copy to the Insurance Authority. You are also reminded to browse the above website regularly for the latest information.
